UniColoradoFurnace + AC planning set
Furnace and AC replacement

Replace both together, or plan the work in stages.

The furnace blower serves the cooling system, and the indoor coil is matched with the outdoor unit. Choose a sequence below to see what this project defines and what a later project must revisit.

What changes now. What waits.

Choose when to replace, then select a part.

Both nowReplacing both now? Ask for the exact furnace, coil, and outdoor models, and what happens to the return, controls, drains, and connections.

This project

Name the exact furnace or air-handler model, blower setup, fuel, and venting work.

After this project

Keep its model number and startup record for service. No second replacement phase is planned here.

Keep the selected details with the proposal.

The sequence above exposes the dependencies. The signed scope should preserve the exact indoor and outdoor models, retained-equipment assumptions, and the work assigned to each phase.

Keep a heat pump option on the same page.

A heat pump provides cooling and can add electric heating. In a dual-fuel design, controls coordinate heat-pump operation with the gas furnace. The comparison therefore changes the outdoor equipment and controls even when gas heat remains.

Put both equipment sides in one request.

Send the furnace or air handler, the indoor coil area, the outdoor unit, model labels, electrical panel and any quote you have. Or schedule a site visit directly.
